2024 Spring Fundraiser

The Junior League of Ogden presents "Run for the Roses," a Kentucky derby-themed event with a goal of raising $20,000 to benefit the development of women in our community. Proceeds will fund training opportunities for our members and our current community impact initiatives.

Join the Races

Guests donning colorful pastels and eye catching hats will enjoy:

  • buffet of delectables

  • Kentucky Derby-themed beverages

  • 360 Photo Booth

  • entertainment from emcee and comedian Craig Bielik

  • presentation by Junior League of Ogden President, Heather Dunifer

  • yard games (corn hole, jenga, connect 4, ladder toss)

  • "horse race" competition with awards for top finishing horses

  • bidding on more than thirty silent auction packages

7:00 PM - Horse Race, Silent Auction Bidding, Opportunity Drawing

The Cause

Developing Women to Do a World of Good

At the heart of our mission is the belief in the transformative power of women’s leadership ​​and our commitment extends to expanding opportunities for women’s leadership in all aspects of life – be it in our community, personal endeavors, or professional spheres.

 

Today’s members are developing leadership skills through trainings and these current community impact projects:

​

  • Oasis Community Garden, a 1.7-acre garden located in downtown Ogden created to improve the community by targeting issues of food equity through education and access to fresh produce, and providing a space for the community to gather, grow, teach, and learn.

​

  • Jr. Junior League of Ogden is a free-of-cost program that prepares young women to be leaders in our community. Girls in 5th-9th grades receive leadership training, positive mentorship, civic engagement, and volunteer opportunities.
