About the Event:

The Junior League of Ogden is proud to present Untamed Potential: A Women’s Career Development Symposium. This symposium is focused on developing the potential of women entering a new career or re-entering the workforce after time away. The event will be held Saturday, April 27th from 2 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at TAB Bank in Ogden, UT. Childcare will be provided*, free-of-charge.

Below is the event outline including a description of the panel and breakout sessions:

  • 2 - 2:15 p.m.: Keynote Speaker - Susan Hostetter, TAB Bank HR Director (15 min)

  • 2:15 - 3 p.m.: “Vision to Reality” Panel (45 min)

  • Focus on showing and sharing your value, personal branding, envisioning yourself in the job you want.

  • 3 - 3:10 p.m.: BREAK (10 min)

  • 3:10 - 3:50 p.m.: Breakout Sessions (40 min)

  • 3:10 - 3:30 p.m.: Session 1 (20 min)

  • 3:30 - 3:50 p.m.: Session 2 (20 min)

Participants can choose to attend 2 of the 3 breakout sessions:

  1. “Career Matchmaking” - Advanced resume development focusing on common gaps, translating personal/philanthropic achievements to career skills, and matching your resume to the career you want.

  2. “Leading the Conversation” - Develop interviewing and negotiation skills while exploring the concept of leaning in at the table.

  3. “Revamp your Toolbox” - A guide to self-led professional development and the resources available to develop your career skills toolbox.

  • 3:50 - 4 p.m.: Closing Remarks

  • 4 - 4:30 p.m.: Networking/Social

Refreshments, snacks and door prizes donated by local Ogden businesses including, Admiral Beverage, Attention to Detail, Beehive Cheese, Costco, Farmer's Market Ogden, Heal Yoga, Hippie Skin, Kaffe Mercantile, P&G, and Roosters Brewing Co. Local career development resources will be shared from the Junior League of Salt Lake, the Junior League of Ogden and the Weber County Library.
